To be eligible for admission to the MDiv program, the applicant must have a BA degree or its equivalent, with a minimum average of 70 % on his transcript.
As part of his preparatory studies, the applicant must have completed a number of courses in Biblical languages (Hebrew and Greek) and Latin, as follows:
- A minimum of two years of Classical or Biblical Greek at an accredited university or college.
- A minimum of one year of Biblical Hebrew at an accredited university or college; a second year of Hebrew is strongly recommended.
- One year of Latin at university level or a full high school program is strongly recommended. If this is not feasible, a minimum of twelve lessons from Derek Cooper’s Basics of Latin is required (online course; see details here).
For students with a non-western background or those applying under the mature student policy, the minimum of twelve lessons from the Cooper course is strongly recommended rather than required.
In addition, applicants should have completed as many high school/university credits as possible in the following subject areas:
- English
- History
- Philosophy (preferably ancient Philosophy and/or Logic)
