Update and Prayer Request

Greetings in the name of our Risen Saviour! At this time of the year, we commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We humbly confess that his death is "a single offering [by which] he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified" (Heb 10:14). We rejoice that "in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep," and we anticipate the resurrection of the body on the day of his glorious return (1 Cor 15:20). As we join in these annual commemorations in our local churches, CRTS rapidly approaches the end of another academic year. Please remember the following in your prayers:

  • Thankfulness to our heavenly Father for a peaceful and productive semester—something that we should never take for granted.
  • For the two weeks following Easter, the students will be writing exams. Please ask that the Lord would give them spiritual, mental, and physical stamina.
  • A number of students will soon be preparing for ecclesiastical exams in the weeks following their seminary exams. Back-to-back exams, all within a few weeks, is challenging. Please ask that the Lord would provide all that is needed.
  • Many of this year's graduates are undergoing ecclesiastical exams to become eligible for call. Churches are reaching out, making various inquiries. On the one hand, this is very encouraging. After all, serving Christ's church is the goal. On the other hand, the path toward that goal includes a certain amount of apprehension and requires patience. May the King of the church care for these brothers and their immediate and extended families.

Thank-you again for all your faithful support and encouragement. Dr. Jason Van Vliet, principal.
